Match length
A set to 25 takes about 20 to 25 minutes, so a best-of-three match takes 40 to 70 minutes depending on whether it goes to a third set. Under the rules, the deciding set is played to 15. If you have a lot of teams, consider a single set in the group stage.
Courts in the hall
A larger sports hall often has two or three volleyball courts across its width. With three courts and 45-minute matches plus a break, you can play about 25 matches in eight hours.
Warm-up at the net
Teams expect a warm-up at the net before each match; tournaments usually allow 3 to 5 minutes. Include it in the break between matches, otherwise the schedule drifts as the day goes on.
