For clubs and youth: a whole season of tournaments

A club that runs tournaments regularly gets a team library with logos, club colours on the tournament page, co-organisers who each record scores on their own pitch, and an app in which parents follow their team and receive messages from the organiser. You pay to publish either per tournament or once a year with a Club Season and unlimited tournaments; it pays off from the 6th tournament in a year.

Updated

A season of tournaments without repeating the work

A youth club runs several tournaments a season for different age groups, often an indoor league with repeated rounds too. Most of the work repeats: the same teams, the same hall, the same rules. kdovede remembers it for you.

Team library: a team you enter once, with its logo and colour, is suggested at the next tournament after the first letters of its name. The logo appears in the schedule, standings, bracket and on the hall screen.

Club colours: set a colour for the organisation and the tournament page, the hall screen and the share images take it on. Spectators recognise your tournament at first sight.

Co-organisers: invite coaches and parents into the organisation as members. Each records scores on their own pitch from a phone and the results meet in one table. The roles owner, admin and member decide who may change settings and billing.

Club Season: an annual payment for unlimited published tournaments in one organisation. It pays off from the 6th tournament in a year; details and prices are on the pricing page.

Parents and spectators

Parents want to know three things: when their child plays, on which pitch and how it went. The tournament page tells them from a QR code at the entrance, with no account and nothing to install.

In the iPhone and Android app they pick their team: its next match sits on top and it is highlighted in the schedule and standings. Messages from the organiser (a delayed start, the awards, refreshments) arrive as notifications, and at the ceremony a parent gets a message saying where their team finished.

On iPhone there is a Live Activity: the followed team's score on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island without anyone opening the app. Everything the app can do is summed up on the Features page.

An awards ceremony worth waiting for

After the final, kdovede suggests the final order from the results; adjust it by dragging, and shared places are possible. Add awards: best player, top scorer, best goalkeeper, fair play, best player of each team or your own, with a name, team and photo.

At the ceremony you reveal the awards and places one by one from your phone. The hall screen shows a big card, the tournament page and the app update at the same moment, and every place and award has a share image for the club's social media.

The hall screen

A TV or projector in the hall shows the tournament page in dark mode and in club colours: live matches with a big score, upcoming matches on each pitch, group standings and the bracket rotate by themselves. Once the tournament is over, the podium comes up first.

A browser and a connection are all it takes; nothing is installed. During the ceremony the rotation stops and the screen belongs to the award just revealed.

Tournament-day checklist

  • The day before: schedule built and checked, regulations with the tie-breaker order (a sample is here), schedule and QR poster printed.
  • In the morning: the hall screen open at the tournament address, scorers signed in to the app, everyone knows which pitch is theirs.
  • Check-in: confirm team names and logos, and age groups for youth; make changes before the first match.
  • During play: record scores as they happen, not after the match. Parents in the stands and the Live Activity follow them live.
  • Delays: move only the matches affected by dragging them in the schedule, kdovede warns about clashes; send a message from the organiser.
  • Before the final: check the suggested final order, add the awards and players' names.
  • The ceremony: reveal from your phone, the screen and the app run by themselves; afterwards share the winners' images.

Club FAQ

How many people can record results at once?

There is no limit. Every member of the organisation records from a phone or the web, and the changes meet immediately in the table and on the hall screen.

Can we run an indoor league with several rounds?

Set up each round as a separate tournament with its own table; with a Club Season there is nothing more to pay and the teams with logos are in your library. kdovede does not yet calculate a combined league table across rounds.

Does kdovede handle team registration and entry fees?

Not yet. The organiser adds the teams, and the entry fee with payment details goes on the tournament's Info page. Online registration is in the works.

What do parents need?

Only a phone. The tournament page runs in a browser; the app is an extra for a followed team, notifications and the Live Activity on iPhone.

How does the Club Season work?

An annual payment per organisation with unlimited published tournaments. It renews after a year, you can cancel it any time in the settings, and it runs to the end of the paid year. It pays off from the 6th tournament in a year, see pricing.
